Shoulder pain is said to be difficult to treat. But is that really true?
There are two muscles in the shoulder complex that most other practitioners forget to look at. The Osteopaths at ReachHealth are known for saying “You Cannot Be Serious! Has nobody else checked these muscles for you?”
The muscles that are so often missed are called serratus anterior and infraspinatus. When they get angry, they upset the rest of the muscles in the shoulder.
Serratus anterior is responsible for scapular protraction, shoulder abduction, and upward rotation of the scapula. Most pressing movements, horizontal and vertical, involve the serratus anterior.
Infraspinatus is one of four muscles that make up the rotator cuff, which helps your arm and shoulder move and stay stable.
If you have had enough of shoulder pain affecting the quality of your life, then book in with one of our Osteopaths.
