Remedial Massage in Elsternwick
Remedial massage at ReachHealth is a hands-on, complementary treatment that works alongside osteopathy, involving manipulation of muscles and connective tissue to support movement, function and general wellbeing.
Based at 1A Carre Street, Elsternwick, our clinic is a short trip from Caulfield, St Kilda, Ripponlea and surrounding Bayside Melbourne suburbs.
We take a whole-person approach, looking at contributing factors alongside presenting symptoms rather than focusing on one area in isolation. Every care plan is individual, and outcomes vary from person to person — your therapist will talk through what's realistic for your circumstances at your first appointment.

Remedial Massage FAQs
-
Is remedial massage different to a relaxation massage?
Yes. Remedial massage is a targeted, assessment-based treatment aimed at supporting specific muscular or postural concerns, while relaxation massage is generally lighter and broader in focus. Your therapist will tailor pressure and technique to what you need.
-
Do I need a referral to see a remedial massage therapist at ReachHealth?
No referral is required to book a remedial massage appointment. If you're being co-managed by one of our osteopaths or another practitioner, we're happy to coordinate care with them.
-
Does private health insurance cover remedial massage?
Many private health funds offer rebates for remedial massage under extras cover. Rebate levels vary by provider and policy, so we'd recommend checking your level of cover before your appointment.
